BEAMZ Lidar Inc.

📍 Dubai, United Arab Emirates

We are delighted to announce our partnership with BEAMZ LiDAR Inc. The company is specialized in software solutions, based in the United States and formed by tech experts in Lidar and self driving technologies, with a clear vision of entering the global market.

BEAMZ Lidar Inc. recently conducted a field operational study with the Dubai Police Force in the UAE using their core system features of BEAMZ Lidar Inc. perception solutions; computational efficiency in real-time, road safety, speed enforcement, and traffic management analytics, transforming raw Lidar point cloud data to actionable insights, ability to handle the sensor-based inefficiencies with next-generation of hybrid algorithm systems, 3D Lidar based Computer vision system, data-driven insights for city planners and policymakers and easy integration with existing ITS frameworks such as Smart Traffic Lights.

🌆 LiDAR sensors, Digital Twins and Metaverse. In the world of digital twins, Lidar may have much room to run. Lidar’s lack of facial recognition capabilities could be a feature — not a failing — in a world with growing privacy concerns around facial recognition.

The importance of Lidar Perception algorithms and frameworks: Advancing Safety, Efficiency and Sustainability in Cities. The algorithms are also better at helping lidars establish where and when to focus to increase the proportion of relevant data at higher resolutions, higher ranges, and higher speeds while simultaneously reducing irrelevant data. In addition to clear data privacy benefits, a lidar-based perception system is a foundational technology that can help drive intelligent mobility in smart city applications and in vehicles on our roadways. It can help improve pedestrian crossings on streets and enable better protection for children in school zones. It can be a catalyst for smart city applications that improve public services and enhance safety and quality of life. It’s a technology that serves both citizens and municipalities by creating a secure and private future for a world in motion.

Existing traffic sensors, including radar and camera, do not provide trajectory or 3D data, and camera performance struggles in low lighting and bad weather conditions. By comparison, lidar sensors with 360-degree-view capabilities are an attractive option because they capture 3D data of surrounding objects with high accuracy and frequency. Lidar sensors also can function in daylight and at night, and through conditions such as rain and snow.
