Welcome to the MPI Cement Seminar-Workshop 2023, hosted by MultiPower International (MPI) with the esteemed patronage of our Chairman, Eng. Jamal Raouf.
Our two-day event, held at the Ramada by Wyndham Sulaymaniyah Salim Street in Iraq’s Sulaymaniyah city, from March 7th to 8th, 2023, showcased the latest technologies and innovative solutions in industrial engineering for the cement industry.

Day One
Day One 7th March, 2023

The day commenced at 8 am with the registration process for the event, which was carried out by our efficient MPI team. Our guests and partners were greeted warmly and escorted to their respective seats. Following this, the seminar-workshop commenced with a welcome speech delivered by our esteemed Managing Director, Eng. Jamal Raouf. He extended a cordial welcome to our esteemed partners and guests, and the event was officially inaugurated.
The seminar-workshop kicked off with a presentation by Mr. Fuad Al Attar from Siemens, showcasing Digital Solutions for the Cement Industry. Following this, Mr. Herve Billig presented the Fives Pillard Gas Kiln Burner. Afterwards, guests and partners took a coffee break and engaged in table sessions, where they interacted with each other to discuss the presentations and foster connections.
Later, MPI presented the MPI Services and Projects department in both Arabic and English, delivered by Mr. Luay Ameer and Mr. Ahmed Anas. ES Processing then took the stage and presented APC and AI for Cement Process Autopiloting by Mr. Ighnatios Maatouk and Mr. Tony Salameh. The guests and partners enjoyed a launch break soon after.
Following the break, Mr. Jens Garbe from Claudius Peters Company presented Claudius Peters ETA Cooler: Advanced Clinker Cooling Technology. REFRATECHNIK then took the stage to introduce their company, presented by Mr. Danila Mezakov. To conclude day one, Mr. Jaber Malandi presented Aumund’s Alternative Fuels Unit.
Throughout the day, there were multiple table sessions during and in-between the presentations, and we were delighted to see our guests and partners interact harmoniously, generating opportunities for all.
Day Two
Day Two 8th March, 2023

On the second day of the event, we proceeded to register our partners and new guests. Our guests and partners were welcomed warmly and escorted to their designated seats. Subsequently, the seminar-workshop commenced with a welcome address delivered by Mr. Hassan Sahib, the Marketing Manager at MPI. He extended a cordial welcome to our esteemed partners and guests, thereby officially inaugurating the event.
The second day of the seminar-workshop commenced with a presentation by Mr. Vahid Gholizadeh from Siemens, who showcased the latest Automation Solutions for the Cement Industry. Following this, Mr. Ighnatios Maatouk took the stage once again and presented cases from ES Processing related to APC and AI for Cement Process Autopiloting.
Later on, during the coffee break, table sessions were organized for the partners and guests to interact with each other. After the break, Mr. Stefan Schwarz presented Reliable Solutions for Common Refractory-Related Problems in Cement Plants from REFRATECHNIK. Additionally, for the first time on stage, Mr. Erwan Godard from Hofmann demonstrated the famous Hofmann Automatic Balancing System for Process Fans.
Next, Mr. Jaber Malandi from Aumund presented the PREMAS® Preventive Maintenance Service Preventive Inspections. Later on, Herve Billig from Fives took the stage and presented the Fives Pillard Pressure Reducing Station and Valve Train. Later on, the guests and partners enjoyed a lunch break, followed by another presentation by Mr. Husam Kiyan from MPI Products department, who showcased our partners’ products that could not be show-up at the seminar-workshop, including Flender, HGH, and Howden. Finally, Mr. Jens Garbe took the stage once again to present Claudius Peters Packing & Palletizing Technology and Claudius Peters Components.
At the end of day two, we took a group photo with our partners and guests. The table sessions also continued after the seminar. We are delighted that the seminar-workshop was a success for both our partners and valued guests, and we look forward to welcoming them again in the future.
